Hi, I’m Richard.
I create New Zealand-inspired artwork featuring native birds and landscapes, designed to fit naturally into everyday homes. Every design begins as an original acrylic painting before being reproduced as canvas prints, art prints, and greeting cards.
Painting started as a creative outlet alongside my career in IT and has grown into a way of capturing some of the wildlife and scenery that makes New Zealand unique. From the colours of a Tui to the distinctive silhouette of The Remarkables mountain range, my goal is to create artwork that feels familiar, welcoming, and easy to live with.
Originally from the UK, I’ve called New Zealand home for 20 years and have spent the last 12 years in Auckland. The country’s landscapes and native wildlife continue to provide inspiration for new paintings.
